Chanhassen Kitchen Project

{Kitchen Cabinet Refinishing}

Chanhassen Kitchen Before and After

One of the first things we did during this kitchen remodeling project was to remove the Flat Cabinets (and hinges) from the home. To save the homeowner time, we brought the cabinets back to Painterati's shop where we performed light construction services to create Raised Panel Cabinets by adding new door and drawer fronts. Since the goal was to match the cabinets to the kitchen island, we painted all cabinets, drawers and window panels to match the table. Once the painting and light construction had been finished on the cabinets and drawers in our shop, we finished the rest of the kitchen on-site. During the off-site refinishing process, the homeowner added a backsplash that would add warmth and texture to the kitchen. To match the backsplash, we painted the kitchen walls with Sherwin Williams Cashmere. After the walls had been painted and the cabinets and drawers had been re-installed, we finished the installation process by installing handles, that replicated the kitchen island hardware, to all the kitchen drawers and cabinets. We then finished the kitchen cabinet refinishing process with a Van Dyke Brown glaze. By changing the color and styles of the cabinets, adding new hardware, painting the walls, and adding a new backsplash, the homeowner was able to give her kitchen an updated look that is both warm and inviting.
