Anoka Kitchen Cabinet Refinishing Project

One of the first things we did for this kitchen-refinishing project was remove the kitchen cabinets and drawers from the home. By bringing the cabinets to Painterati’s refinishing shop we were able to save the homeowner time and money.

Once at the shop we filled the oak grain on the cabinets and drawers. We then painted and enameled the cabinets with White Dove Sherwin Williams Pro Classic Satin Enamel. We also applied the White Dove enamel to the home’s kitchen island, cabinet boxes, and casement window.

During the off-site refinishing process, the homeowners added a natural stone backsplash that would add warmth, texture, and character to the kitchen. Additionally, the homeowners installed granite countertops to give their kitchen a fresh, clean look. To match the new backsplash, countertop, and the soon to be reinstalled cabinets, we painted the walls with Sherwin Williams Cashmere. After the walls had been painted, we reinstalled the newly painted and enameled cabinets and drawers. We then finished the kitchen cabinet refinishing process by handing painting Van Dyke Brown Glaze on the cabinets as a specialty finish.

By changing the wall color, refinishing the cabinets, adding a backsplash, and resurfacing the countertops, the homeowners were able to give their kitchen an updated look that is both traditional and sophisticated.

To bring this new sophisticated look into their living room, the homeowners decided to have us refinish their living room fireplace mantel. We then primed, enameled, and glazed the mantel to match the kitchen cabinets. Before
